Where They’re Being Planted
This map makes me happy in a way that’s hard to explain.
Each dot represents a state. Behind it are all the seeds we’ve shipped there, and the people giving them a chance to grow.
I don’t know most of those people, but I feel connected to them anyway. People making room for trees in their yards, their communities, and their plans for the future. People willing to water, wait, and imagine what a tiny seed might become.
These numbers tell us where our seeds have traveled. The stories that follow belong to the people growing them.
I’m deeply grateful our little shop gets to be part of it.

How we calculate this
This scenario assumes half of the seeds sold become surviving trees. Potential trees = seeds sold × 50%; acres = potential trees ÷ 435; five-acre equivalents = acres ÷ 5; annual CO₂ = potential trees × 133.5 pounds.
These are illustrative assumptions, not verified germination, survival, planting, restored acreage, forests created, or carbon removal. Our seed catalog includes shrubs and other plants. The scenario does not adjust for species, tree age, climate, growing conditions, or time to maturity. The 50% success rate and 133.5-pound uptake rate are not measured results for our seeds.
Actual carbon uptake varies by species, age, location, and conditions. Read EPA’s methodology. Figures update with the map’s verified sales total; historical coverage remains incomplete.
