Things you probably did not know about the Sweetbay Magnolia

It blooms for months, not weeks. Unlike most spring-blooming magnolias that flower for two weeks and are done, Sweetbay Magnolia produces new flowers repeatedly from May through August, with peak bloom in early summer. The leaves are silvery white on the underside.
